It is midterm season collegiettes! And yes, that means late night study sessions, crowded libraries, too many cups of coffee, and hoping that the new 2014 Lilly Pulitzer planner pulls through these anticipated stressful days. But before you run and hide to the land of Netflix and sweatpants, this season also means spring break! Who needs the added stress of not knowing what to pack? Lucky you, we got style tips for every spring break adventure!
1. Airport Chic

Hopping on a plane to LAX? As much as a collegiette wants to be fashionable, let’s face it, at an airport filled with long flights and six-hour delays comfort trumps style. An airplane can vary with temperatures so it’s important to dress in layers. Leggings and a long t-shirt make the perfect foundation to accessorize. Add a cute jacket and scarf and you are all set for taking off. A scarf is a must-have when traveling because it can also transform into a pillow (cozy place to rest). Complete this look with shoes that will accommodate your vacation whether they are sandals or boots.
2. Versatile Maxi

Whether you are traveling with friends or visiting family it is always important to be prepared for formal occasions that may arise (dinner with the family or a hot date with that cutie)! Traveling with a black maxi dress will be a lifesaver; black is a collegiette’s best friend. This look can easily be dressed up or down with only a few accessories. Not only is it comfortable, easy to pack, and totally versatile, it is the simplest look adjustable for any occasion!
3. Casual Cool

If you are vacationing your days near a beach, hanging with friends, or exploring a city, having a casual day look will definitely pay off. Channel your inner Miranda Kerr or Nicole Richie and style up a pair of boyfriend jeans. A fun tailored blazer will nicely contrast the laid back and slouchy feel of boyfriend jeans while highlighting your spring break figure. This look can be functional with any trip or any weather issues due to the many styling possibilities.
4. Floral Fun

Floral prints flooded the runways of New York Fashion Week; add it to your spring break attire for a pop of warmth even while vacationing in cooler climates! A statement pant can be worn with simple pieces that can easily be swapped out for various occasions and climates. Add the jacket from the first look to create a perfect wardrobe for those cooler climates!
5. Cute and Beachy

Nothing screams spring break more than a bikini and a flowy sundress! Head to the beach or pool in a fun bikini. Don’t be afraid to try different styles! Play around with high waisted bikini bottoms, cutouts, bold prints, or even rock a monokini. Pack all your necessities in a beach bag and style your hair in a carefree mermaid-inspired braid. After relaxing in the sun, throw on a sundress and enjoy the simplicity of beachwear (after all you look amazing from the sun-kissed glow). But don’t forget to re-apply your sunscreen!
Versatility is key when traveling. Having looks with interchangeable pieces creates never-ending style possibilities, not to mention the bonus of saving money on unnecessary checked baggage! With these tips, packing for spring break will be a breeze. You can thank us later for the extra studying time!
